Qatar QAR, A4 Rules checked October 2026

What an invoice in Qatar must include

  • Your business name, address and commercial registration (CR) or tax card number
  • Your client’s name and address
  • Unique invoice number and date
  • Description, quantity, unit price and total in QAR (or the agreed currency)
  • Payment terms and bank details

Rules worth knowing

  • Qatar has no VAT and no general sales tax in 2026, so invoices show no tax line. A GCC-wide 5% VAT has been agreed in principle, but no start date has been set.
  • The GTA lists withholding tax among the taxes it collects. A Qatari client paying a foreign company for some services may need to deduct it, so confirm with the client before you send the invoice.
