Free Quote Generator

Send a clear, professional quote with the right taxes for your country. When the client says yes, turn it into an invoice in one click.

What to put on a quote

  • Your business details and the client’s name
  • A quote number (this tool numbers them Q-0001, Q-0002…)
  • The date and how long the price is valid
  • Each item or service with quantity and price
  • Tax, discounts and the total
  • What is not included, payment terms and deposit (in Notes)

Quotes use their own numbering, so they never use up an invoice number.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
A quote is a fixed price the client can accept; an estimate is an approximate price that may change. This tool works for both: set the type to Quote and add a note such as Estimate, final price may vary if the scope changes.
How long should a quote be valid?
Usually 14 to 30 days. Set the Valid until date so prices and availability are not open-ended; it prints next to the quote date.
How do I turn an accepted quote into an invoice?
Open the quote from History and click Turn this quote into an invoice. The client and items carry over, the document gets a fresh invoice number and today’s date.
Should a quote include tax?
Yes, if you are registered for VAT, GST or sales tax: clients need to know the full price. Pick your country and the tax lines are added for you.
